Tagua Nuts, also known as Vegetable Ivory, and are the seeds of a Tropical South American tree. Before plastic they were used for buttons and many types of carving. They are currently being grown and harvested as ivory is no longer ethically acceptable. Hence the title hope. With glass and foil beads.

Teacher's Necklace
This was designed as a gift for a man. Great on a woman too!

Wolf is the symbol of the teacher, the mentor, the guide. Great teachers know that they too are learning all the time. The red coral and silver enhance the feminine qualities of intuition and compassion. The brown beads are date seeds from Africa. There, the men eat dates while sipping mint tea and talking and polish the seeds on the stones at their feet. These date seeds are used in the necklace for communication. The black bone beads are for strength and stablility.
