BAGS & POUCHES
The Elements
These power bags represent the four
elements. The four elements create a sacred balance
in our lives and on the earth. Each element has its
attributes and gives support when we pay attention
to it. If you are drawn to a particular bag, you may
need more of that element in your life.
The
Personal Bags
These
bags are custom designed for an individual. The four
element and eight personal bags on this page are
a sample of what I have designed. If you would like
a personal
bag,
I will
make one
that is meaningful for
you. I need to have a discussion with you and then
I go into creative mode and your bag emerges.
Each bag has a bundle inside that is
filled with herbs
and items that are relevant to
the power element. For example, some of the items in
the fire bag are specifically included for unconditional
love and trust and passion. Each bag is blessed and
energized in a ceremony. The more you focus on the
bag, the more it helps you.
How to use these bags: The power bags
are an excellent focus in prayer or meditation and
can be placed on an altar or special place in your
home. My clients report experiencing wonderful meditations
and messages from their bags. Giving the bag a special
spot on your desk helps you to work mindfully. As you
find little treasures that speak to you, place them
in the bag for safe-keeping and augmenting its power.
Keep the bag close to your pillow to enhance your sleep
and dreams.
All
of the medicine bags are one of a kind ~ similar
ones can be made.

The
phoenix is a symbol of transformation. As he rises
from the flames, the phoenix turns and looks back
on all that he has created. He is refreshed and
renewed and ready to start a new phase of his life.
A mythical bird that never dies; the phoenix flies
far ahead to the front always scanning the landscape
and distant space. It represents our capacity for
vision, for collecting sensory information about
our environment, and the events unfolding within
it. The phoenix was a fabulous mythical Arabian
bird, said to be as large as an eagle with brilliant
scarlet and gold plumage and a melodious cry. The
phoenix lived for a very long time; no ancient
sources list it as living less than 500 years.
Periodically, the phoenix would make a nest of
aromatic branches and spices, set it on fire and
was consumed in the flames. From the midst of the
flames miraculously sprang a new phoenix. Image

Beth's
Completion Bag ~
4 elements
As
I was working on your bag and thinking about our
discussion I really got that the journey for you
is so much about vision and insight. That is why
I put the Eye of Horus in the center. Owl is also
about seeing between the spaces and knowing the
truth. Archangel Michael’s sword is to help
you understand your male power and cut away the
illusions that confuse you. Archangel Michael will
also help you to heal the past. I placed Bear in
the West to help you go within the Dream Lodge
and hear your intuition and inner wisdom. In the
North two triangles of jasper represent the mountains
and their strength and nobility. The turquoise
is one of the gifts of the earth and signifies
personal expression and the throat charka. The
acorn cup is from the oak tree, one of the sacred
trees of knowledge. The cup has shed its acorn
and the seed is planted. Image courtesy of the

Marilyn's
Prayer Pouch
This
pouch is for holding sage, tobacco or perhaps corn.
In the Native American traditon, when you take
a feather or a rock or an object from the earth,
you leave an offering to thank Mother Earth for
her gift. Tobacco, sage and corn are excellent
offerings. These items can be used in conjunction
with prayers in general. This could also be
used to hold a sacred object of yours.
